US expansion drives record revenue at Kennedys as Weightmans’ profits soar 25%

After a year of ambitious international growth, Kennedys has posted record revenue of £286m, up 8% on last year, despite sluggish 1.4% UK growth.

In the last year, the firm added 18 lateral partner hires, and made up 22 new partners globally. In characteristically expansive mode, Kennedys also opened three new offices globally as well as forging three new associations in Turkey, Bolivia and Ecuador. ‘A fantastic achievement’: Boodle Hatfield marks 300-year anniversary with revenue growth

In its tercentenary year, Legal Business 100 firm Boodle Hatfield has announced revenues of £30.7m for 2021/22, up 4% from £29.4m the previous year.

The latest figures continue the firm’s recent upward trajectory. Since 2016, the private wealth and real estate focused firm has recorded an average annual revenue increase of 5.5% and a 14% average increase in profit. Osborne Clarke (OC) has joined the slew of firms reporting robust financials, today (13 June) unveiling a 19% increase in overall turnover from €341m to €407m.

Keystone hails £400k saving on overheads as revenue rockets 27% and profits soar

Keystone Law has made last year’s 11% uptick in turnover look ordinary by comparison, today (28 April) announcing an eye-catching 27% boost in revenues from £55m to £69.6m.

This rate was bettered by the profitability increase: adjusted profit before tax stood at £9.1m, representing a pacey 52% jump from last year’s £6m figure. Overall, Keystone is in a healthy financial position, boasting zero debt and a strong operating cash conversion of 103%, with cash generated from £10m in operations.

Noerr has continued its recent trajectory of growth by posting a global top line of €297m across 2021, up by 9% from the €271.6m recorded a year earlier.

The Munich-headquartered  Euro Elite outfit, which attributes its success to mandates from listed companies, German and international private equity companies and large family-run companies, saw even stronger growth within Germany, generating revenues of €277.3m, a 10% improvement on previous figures. In what the firm is hailing as ‘its best financial year ever’, Paul Hastings has posted an eye-catching 41% growth in City turnover from $108.6m to $157.2m.

Globally, Paul Hastings did not fare much worse, with worldwide turnover jumping 20% from $1.31bn to $1.57bn. This was accompanied by a 21% hike in profit per partner (PPP), which grew from $3.9m to $4.7m.

‘Record revenues’ for Garrigues as turnover breaks €400m barrier

Garrigues has seen a 7% rise in revenue for the 2021/22 financial year, enabling it to become the first Iberian law firm to post revenues in excess of €400m.

The Madrid-headquartered firm, which in total billed €414.2m throughout the year, has largely the success of its domestic offering to thank for this uptick. The Spanish practice, which spans 18 offices, generated €361.4m – an increase of 7.4% compared with the previous year.
