Margaret Egan, executive vice president, general counsel, and secretary at Hyatt Hotels, picked up the award for In-house Legal Leader of the year at the Mondaq and Legal 500 US In-House Counsel Celebration in Chicago in May.
‘It was quite a night,’ she recalls. ‘My son was graduating from high school and I was coming from his graduation ceremony, and then zooming into the dinner just as they were picking up the plates from the entrees. We had board meetings that morning – I had way too much going on in one day. But it was lovely, and it was a very happy outcome.’
