Slaughters and Ropes among line-up on GSK’s $10.6bn US cancer drug firm acquisition

Davis Polk, Slaughter and May and Ropes and Gray are among a line-up of top firms advising on a major deal that has seen GSK agree to acquire Nuvalent, a US biotech company that develops cancer drugs, for $10.6bn.

The transaction, one of GSK’s largest ever deals, will accelerate the FTSE 100 pharma giant’s expansion into lung cancer treatments, according to the deal announcement. The Boston-based Nuvalent is focused on creating precisely targeted oncology therapies.
