Quinn Emanuel co-founder John Quinn took home the Lifetime Achievement Award at last week’s Legal Business Awards. It was a prospect that was, by his own admission, somewhat daunting – but he was quick to make clear that it was no final curtain call.
‘Receiving a lifetime achievement award is a wonderful thing – it’s also kind of alarming. There is kind of an aura of finality or mortality about it,’ he told the 800-strong audience, before adding: ‘Just so you know, my calendar is very full tomorrow; and the day after that, and the day after that. We’ll see about next week.’
