Kirkland & Ellis, Wachtell and Skadden have topped the deal rankings for the first half of 2026, as global M&A hit record highs and mega-deals surged to unprecedented levels.
According to data from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), global M&A activity totalled $2.85trn for the first half of the year, up by 50% from 2025, and the highest total for H1 since records began in 1980.
