After an eventful World Cup, the drama has continued into extra time, with Fifa president Gianni Infantino’s plan to sell off stakes in the World Cup to private investors provoking a potential dispute between football’s top governing bodies.
UEFA, which represents the football associations of 55 member nations across Europe, has reportedly informed global governing body Fifa that it is considering legal action, and is understood to have appointed Dechert New York white-collar partner Andrew Levander as its lead counsel.
