Private equity giant Carlyle has recruited former CIA general counsel Kate Heinzelman as its next GC, following the retirement of long-serving legal chief Jeffrey Ferguson.
Heinzelman (pictured) served as GC of the CIA between 2022 and 2025, before which she was chief counselor to the attorney general in the US Department of Justice.
