Manuel Requicha Ferreira co-heads Cuatrecasas’ banking, finance and capital markets department in Portugal and regularly advises companies committed to the green transition on sustainable finance and debt refinancing matters.
Notably, Requicha Ferreira advised major financial institution BBVA on a hospitality group’s landmark green bonds issuance. Requicha Ferreira also assisted Natwest with the debt restructuring of Finerge Group, one of the largest renewable energy companies in Portugal, demonstrating his extensive expertise in sustainability-related finance matters.
Dedicated to driving change in the energy industry, Requicha Ferreira is a member of non-profit renewables association APREN, which represents more than 90% of all installed capacity of renewable energy sources in the country. Keeping clients updated on the latest green finance and capital markets topics, Ferreira recently authored an article discussing developments in the ESG bond markets.
