Fountain Court boosts finance bench with arrival of Outer Temple silk Lissack

Fountain Court Chambers has bolstered its bench of finance silks after attracting banking heavyweight Richard Lissack QC (pictured) from Outer Temple Chambers.

Set to join the elite commercial and chancery set on Tuesday (3 May), Lissack is one of London’s most established finance silks. Called to the Bar in 1978 and taking silk in 1994, Lissack’s practice covers a broad range of advocacy across finance, regulatory, white collar crime and professional negligence. Promotions 2016: Eversheds makes up 26 partners as TLT names four in reduced round

Eversheds has promoted 26 partners globally, with four in the firm’s London office, while TLT has made up four partners across the UK in a reduced round.

Of Eversheds’ 26 promotions, 11 of were female and ten are in its international offices with new partners in Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and United Arab Emirates.

HSF leaders plot China launch and US merger amid new strategy

‘Could we have a 1,000 lawyers in China? We could,’ Herbert Smith Freehills‘ (HSF) co-chief executive Mark Rigotti said. ‘But that would be accessing a different client base. A thousand lawyers would be overcooking it. I would like 100 lawyers as then you get cultural and client alignment between high quality local and cross border. Would 100 lawyers in China by 2025 be feasible? Yes.’
