White & Case’s latest partner promotions round is ‘disproportionately’ focused on the US, the firm said, doubling down on the world’s most profitable legal market as it eyes its target revenue of $5bn by 2028.
The firm has promoted 47 new partners, 40% of which are in the US. This marks the firm’s largest partner promotion round since 2022, and its largest class of new US partners since the same year.
London saw the second largest share of promotions, with 10 new partners – up from nine last year, when the firm made up 45 partners in total, and when the UK’s share of new partners tripled on the previous year.
Across the global promotion round, 11 partners join the firm’s M&A practice, making it the largest group of new partners. Seven lawyers join project development and finance, while the litigation and restructuring practices both have six new partners.
The remaining 17 partners are split across the firm’s finance, capital markets, IP, international trade, disputes, real estate, and tax practices.
‘Our new partners are excellent lawyers who deliver exceptional results for clients. Their talent, judgement and commitment will strengthen our firm and support our continued growth,’ White & Case chair Heather McDevitt said in a statement.
‘We’re proud of what they have achieved,’ McDevitt added, ‘and excited for what they’ll bring to our clients as we help them navigate their most complex matters with depth, cohesion and confidence.’
