‘We would happily do it again’ – Burford shrugs off $16bn Argentina upset, looks to diversify

Legal capital provider Burford Capital suffered a blow in March when a New York court overturned a judgment that required the Republic of Argentina to pay $16bn in damages to claimants backed by Burford. But the funder is not slowing down, instead moving to scale and diversify its portfolio.

‘We would happily do it again,’ said CEO Christopher Bogart of the decision to back the claim.
