Sidley Austin is nearing a deal to bring in high-profile London private equity duo Marco Compagnoni and Jonathan Wood from Weil, as sources suggest the firm is also in discussions with Weil PE partners in France and Germany.
Legal 500 high-value private equity Hall of Famer and global PE group co-head Compagnoni is understood to be close to joining Sidley alongside Weil London managing partner Wood, who is also recognised as a leading partner for high-value PE.
