Four firms have taken lead roles on the sale of high street health and beauty retailer Boots for nearly $9bn.

Skadden, Davis Polk, Latham & Watkins, and A&O Shearman are leading on the deal, which will see a consortium of Canadian investment firms, Wittington Investments, Limited and Fairfax Financial, take ownership of Boots’ UK and Ireland business, while current owner Sycamore Partners will retain ownership of The Boots Group’s businesses in Germany and Mexico.
