Freshfields and Kirkland & Ellis are advising BT Group and Verizon Communications respectively as the two telecoms giants agree a multibillion-dollar joint venture.
Verizon, the world’s second largest telecommunications company by revenue, has agreed with British company BT to combine their respective international operations into a 50:50 joint venture, which will create a new multinational company that serves more than 3,000 customers across more than 180 countries, with around $4bn in annual revenue.
