The timing for Victoria Sigeti to step into her new role as managing partner at Freshfields London office was hardly ideal, with the PE deal busy co-leading the firm’s team advising EQT on its acquisition of Intertek.
However, Sigeti tells LB the situation offered clarity: ‘The timing has forced me to focus on the important parts of the role and distinguish the bits I can add most value to, such as fostering a culture that people identify with and bringing people together to talk about our strategy,’ she says. ‘I’m very much putting my deal execution mindset into the role.’
