Ramona Nee, who was positioned to be Weil’s next leader, is set to land at Kirkland & Ellis in the New Year, as part of a team of 40 lawyers.
Boston-based Nee, who also co-heads Weil’s US PE practice, is understood to be taking five further partners with her, across the firm’s M&A and finance groups.
