Werner Grau Neto developed Pinheiro Neto Advogados’ longstanding environmental and climate change practice in the early 2000’s. He is highly experienced in environmental law consulting and litigation, and often advises large corporations on their shift to more sustainable operations. Additionally, he assists clients with CDM and REDD+ projects as well as NGOs with implementing social carbon projects.
Outside his client work, Neto stands out for his prolific engagement as a speaker, frequently sharing his thought leadership on environmental, sustainability and ESG topics. His most recent contributions include discussing the limits of judicial intervention in the environmental administrative sphere at an event at the Secretariat of the Environment in São Paulo; sharing his expertise on the carbon market at an event organised by the Brazilian Union of Environmental Advocacy; and participating in the opening panel of the 19th National Congress of Environmental Law.
Neto has also participated in local radio interviews and podcasts on sustainability matters, and has contributed to publications, such as the firm’s ESG 2023 prospects guide.
