Matthew Germain co-heads the international ESG and sustainability practice at Osborne Clarke LLP, acting for major multinational corporates and franchisees in the retail and consumer goods sectors. Germain regularly advises on environmental regulatory due diligence, climate and sustainability compliance and reporting, and ESG disclosure mandates.
Germain leads the firm’s internal sustainability steering committee, helping drive sustainable practices and carbon footprint reduction measures. Within the role, Germain is currently helping develop the firm’s climate transition planning, double materiality assessments, and CDP disclosures. Germain also introduced a firmwide carbon literacy training, which has helped inform internal carbon budgets for legal and business service teams.
