Having established the future energy practice at TLT, Maria Connolly demonstrates longstanding expertise advising major domestic clients on renewable power generation, energy storage, and electricity infrastructure projects.
A key client is RWE, whom Connolly advised on all aspects of the development consent order process for the 320 MW Peartree Hill solar project in Yorkshire. Further demonstrating her expertise concerning renewable energy DCO schemes, Connolly advised Low Carbon on the sale of its Gate Burton DCO project to EDF Renewables.
Connolly has played a key role in the firm’s internal decarbonisation and ESG initiatives, serving as the executive board sponsor for its sustainability strategy while also sitting on its impact committee.
