Van Vaerenbergh is regularly entrusted to advise across a range of landmark energy transition and decarbonisation projects, including assisting BASF Antwerpen on contractual and regulatory matters regarding its role as participant and developer of the Antwerp@C CCUS project.
Van Vaerenbergh regularly acts on a pro bono basis for developing nation governments at the UNFCCC negotiations, including representing Madagascar at COP30. Van Vaerenbergh was also appointed by the UNFCCC Secretariat to the Roster of Experts for Article 6.4.
