REED SMITH REPLACED AS SIEMENS REFRESHES PANEL

Last month Eversheds and Osborne Clarke were reappointed to Siemens UK’s legal panel, while Addleshaw Goddard replaced Reed Smith, following a review. The new panel will last for three years.

 

BIRD & BIRD’S KERR GEARS UP FOR 23 YEARS AT THE TOP

Bird & Bird has reappointed David Kerr, who has been chief executive for 20 years, to the post again for a further three years. The firm also elected the founder of its Italian practice, Massimiliano Mostardini, as chair.

 

FASKEN MARTINEAU SLASHES HEADCOUNT AHEAD OF LONDON OFFICE MOVE

Canadian firm Fasken Martineau has relocated a significantly reduced team to a new London office, with fee-earner headcount dropping from 28 at 1 January to ten by mid-March. The firm’s former managing partner Gary Howes is now a consultant with the firm, while Al Gourley is now managing partner. A spokeswoman said the firm has refocused on four core areas: banking, corporate, mining, and oil and gas.

 

SLAUGHTER AND MAY CHOOSES NEW M&A HEAD

Magic Circle firm Slaughter and May has picked Roland Turnill to head the firm’s M&A practice, replacing incoming senior partner Steve Cooke. Turnill will take up the post on 1 May this year.
