ADDLESHAWS IN MERGER TALKS WITH US FIRM

Addleshaw Goddard has turned to the US for a potential merger, having entered into talks with Virginia-based Hunton & Williams. The US firm had revenues of $528m in 2015, while Addleshaws made £193m in 2014/15.

 

BP ORDERS PANEL FIRMS TO PITCH FOR $1M-PLUS MANDATES

Ahead of its UK panel review in 2017, BP has informed its current external advisers they will now be required to pitch for instructions worth over $1m in legal fees in a bid to curb costs. Go-to law firms will no longer be instructed for high-value work but must pitch against each other.

 

NETWORK RAIL EXTENDS ADVISER PANEL

Network Rail has reappointed its five core firms – Addleshaw Goddard, Eversheds, Bond Dickinson, Dentons and Maclay Murray & Spens – to its panel until 2019. The review was run by the transport operator’s legal counsel Paul Hopton and Karen Stapleton.
