TRAVERS AND W&C LEAD ON LATEST BRIDGEPOINT DEAL

Travers Smith advised long-time client Bridgepoint as it sold off Oasis Dental Care to White & Case client Bupa for £835m. DLA Piper also acted on the deal, advising the dental firm’s management team.

 

SLAUGHTERS AND FRIENDS ACT ON SANTANDER REPURCHASE

Slaughter and May advised Banco Santander again as it purchased its asset management business from private equity houses Warburg Pincus and General Atlantic. The Magic Circle firm acted alongside its Spanish best friend Uría Menéndez on the repurchase of the 50% stake. Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton represented both private equity firms.

 

BANK OF CYPRUS BRINGS IN SIDLEY FOR LSE FLOAT

The London office of Sidley Austin is advising alongside Cypriot firm Chryssafinis & Polyviou as the Bank of Cyprus prepares to list on the London Stock Exchange to increase its exposure to international investors. Linklaters is acting for HSBC as lead finance adviser on the deal.

 

EVERSHEDS ACTS ON LARGEST PENSIONS BUYOUT OF 2016

National firm Eversheds has advised longstanding client Legal & General Group on the largest pensions risk transfer of 2016 as the insurer takes on £1.1bn of the Vickers Group Pension Scheme, advised by Linklaters.
