Ning Fei

Ning Fei specialises in commercial arbitration and litigation, and is widely recognised as one of the top dispute resolution lawyers in China.

He sits as arbitrator of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and is a council member of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), a title vested to people from mainland China for the first time in history.

Fei has represented clients before domestic and overseas arbitral tribunals, as well as PRC courts at various levels. He has also participated in arbitral proceedings administered by HKIAC, SIAC, SCC and LCIA as arbitrator, counsel and expert witness.

Xinguang Cao

Xinguang Cao specialises in commercial arbitration and litigation. He sits as an arbitrator and member of the Expert Committee of CIETAC, mediator of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade/China Chamber of International Commerce Mediation Center and mediator of the US-China Business Mediation Center.

As a senior arbitrator of CIETAC, Cao has adjudicated hundreds of arbitration cases over 30 years. He acted as the presiding arbitrator in most of these cases and has been highly respected for his professionalism. A number of the cases that Xinguang has presided over were of pervasive influence and selected by CIETAC as exemplary cases.

Hong Jiang

Before joining Hui Zhong, Hong Jiang worked at CIETAC and the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC). She served as deputy secretary general of CIETAC’s Shanghai Sub-Commission and subsequently secretary general of CMAC’s Shanghai Sub-Commission. Jiang is currently a registered arbitrator of CIETAC, CMAC, HKIAC, the Arbitration Center Across the Straits, CIETAC Online Dispute Resolution Center, Qingdao Arbitration Commission, Hainan Arbitration Commission, and Ningbo Arbitration Commission. Jiang is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Fang Zhao

Fang Zhao has been practising as a Chinese lawyer for more than 16 years and was also called to the Bar of England and Wales as a barrister in 2017. Ming Qiu specialises in litigation in China. Before joining Hui Zhong, he sat on the bench of the Supreme People’s Court for nearly ten years and was primarily involved in civil trial supervision proceedings. He brings a rare perspective from the Supreme Court’s bench, given his abundant experience gained from more than 80 retrial cases he managed and more than 300 retrial cases he participated in reviewing, which were in wide-ranging areas of commercial sectors.

Yvonne Manor Percival is a solicitor qualified in England and Wales. She practised for many years, including as a partner, in top international law firms in London, specialising in international commercial and investment arbitration and litigation. Fluent in Mandarin, she represented a wide range of PRC companies in relation to their cross-border commercial activities. Percival is an arbitrator on the panel of CIETAC and the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration. She has lectured on multinational enterprises and the law, with a focus on commercial and treaty arbitration at SOAS and Queen Mary University of London. She took part in EU-funded training of government officials in international investment arbitration and the drafting of foreign investment legislation.
